Bel Trade Group was established by Mr. Stephen C. M. Sy in 1974
and has grown steadily over the years.
The Group is a testimonial to the entrepreneurial character and

by a customer service oriented team of professional managers.
Over the course of 30 years, the Group has grown to be a
well-known business name, locally as well as abroad. Bel Trade¡¦s
guiding principles have always been adherence to quality in all
facets of group activity and a commitment to service.
Bel Trade comprises of more than thirty companies in Hong Kong,
China and overseas. The Group¡¦s business is diversified and
includes: international trade, manufacturing, representation
and distribution, investment, securities trading and real estate
investment and development.
Bel Trade Group has accumulated 30 years of experience in
international trade. Main items include iron ore, steel
scrap, coal and metallurgical coke. The Group also deals in the
trade of photographic supplies, zippers and building materials.
To promote quality service and trade efficiency, the Group has
set up representative offices in some major cities of China, the
USA, Germany and the Philippines.
The Group has two wood product manufacturing outfits in
China: one in Youxi in Fujian Province and the other in Panyu in
Guangdong Province. These factories produce structural lumber,
furniture and decorative materials, solid wood flooring, wall
panels and sports flooring. Door jambs and other customized
wood products are also produced. The Group has forest
concessions in Fujian Province ensuring an abundant supply of
easily replenished pine and fir, which are indigenous to China.
The wood products are exported to Japan, the USA and other parts
of the world. In a short span of time, our wood division has
become well known internationally as a reliable supplier of
quality products.
The Group is the exclusive agent of China¡¦s First Automobiles
Works (FAW) and also the exclusive agent and distributor
of Yutong Bus, China¡¦s largest bus manufacturer, for the
Philippines. Through its subsidiary, First CNG Inc, the Group is
involved in the import; sales and distribution of CNG powered
buses and other automotive products in the Philippines.
These years Bel Trade Group devotes more effort to investment,
choosing energy, transportation and environmental projects,
which are beneficial to mankind. First CNG Inc is operating a
taxi transportation business since 2003 in the Philippines, and
will also operate a CNG bus transportation business beginning
2005. Shifting to CNG from diesel fuel for buses reduces the
dependence of the Philippines on imported fuel and eases the
level of pollution. This agenda is supported and promoted by
the Philippines Government and the Group will help the
government by investing in the business of CNG related public
transportation and the conversion of gasoline and diesel
vehicles to CNG vehicles.
Bel Trade Group is an active member of Hong Kong Exchanges and
Clearing Company Ltd. With years of excellent service, it has
earned the respect from members within the securities trade
and gained the trust and support of the customers. Its annual
improvement in performance strengthens its status in the
securities trade.
In 1987, the Group started its property investment and
development arm in Hong Kong. Over the years, the group has
completed several commercial and residential development
projects in Hong Kong and gained valuable experience in project
development, property marketing and management. The Group also
buys and holds properties in prime commercial and residential
areas for investment purpose.
